Know why? Because Rusty Lake released their first major trailer with the promise that the release date of Rusty Lake: Roots will be announced today.

The official trailer of Rusty Lake: Roots is live now: https://t.co/P4nslmas12 Tomorrow we will announce the launch date :)— Rusty Lake (@rustylakecom) October 16, 2016 If you'll turn back the clock to August you'll remember that I had the privilege of meeting the masterminds behind Cube Escape and Rusty Lake: Hotel at Gamescom. The reason I'm so excited about Rusty Lake: Roots is because of how big it is and how much there is to do. In fact it's three-times larger than their previous title, equating to about eight hours of gameplay.

The main goal is to build a family tree as you play through a variety of different levels with different characters. As you progress you unlock more and more pictures, experiencing the beginning and end of your characters' lives so you can continue to build your tree.

Check out more detail in the Gamescom article here and give the trailer a watch below. Fingers crossed Rusty Lake: Roots will be with us any day now on iOS, Android, and itch.io

10tons's latest soft-launched game is Spellspire, which is a mash up of word games and fantasy action-RPGs.

Spellspire has you play the role of a dweeby magician who unwisely battles knights, skeletons, and ferocious monsters. It's not Harry Potter, but it's close.

You have to help him out by picking out letters from a grid in order to create words. Once you've spelled a word out you can then cast it as destructive magic at your enemy.

The rule goes that the longer the word you spell out the more damage it will deal.

With the gold you collect from your fallen enemies you're able to purchase new wands, hat, and robes.

You can also buy consumable spell effects to help you through tougher battles.

Yep, Spellspire is a free to play game, if it wasn't obvious by now.

10tons has currently soft-launched it on the Canadian, Australian, Finnish, Estonian, and New Zealand App Stores.

As it looks like a bit of alright, we'll let you know when Spellspire is available on the global App Stores.
